Inaugural CTE RWP Challenge Example
In this example, four high schools and their respective CTE (career technical education) departments are coordinating to solve two real world problems (RWPs). They have identified questions, who they will ask, and who will coordinate to work towards solutions. The RWP’s are solved during a year-long effort.

Example RWP Challenge Structure
In this template, you can see how the structure allows you to scale up the number of people involved. Note the “School, District, County, State” circles. How many people involved depends on the nature of the challenge. Are you a Superintendent? A County leader? A Congressperson? Will you support students on their way to solving real world problems?.
Local
Small Challenge For a Quick Win
Solving an RWP doesn’t have to mean that students take on and solve an entire country’s poverty cycle and economic ills. A local, quick win is arguably more impactful and empowering. Dream big, for sure, but start small, fail small. Then get better. Build momentum and watch what happens.
